CLIENT - ASSIGNMENT - GOAL

For this case, I collaborated with Hallmark, a well known brand in the field of greeting cards and gifts. They approached me with the request to build a new homepage that would contribute to the renewal of their website and better align with seasonal campaign.

The assignment was clear: recreate the homepage based on a provided design. It was important that the final result not only functioned well technically but also matched Hallmark’s design and brand identity perfectly on a visual level.

The objective was to create a fresher, more modern impression with this new page and to engage visitors in an inspiring way around the Mother’s Day theme that was central to the campaign.

CHALLENGES - MY ROLE - PROCESS

The biggest challenge in this project was accurately translating the creativity of the design into a technical implementation. It was essential to maintain a balance between visual elements, loading speed, and responsiveness across different devices.

My role was that of Front-end Developer. I was responsible for turning the design into a fully functional, interactive homepage. This required paying close attention to details such as animations, spacing, and image proportions.

The process started with an analysis of the design. I then gradually built the structure, implemented all visual styles, and thoroughly tested the page for usability and performance. Through close collaboration with designers and other developers, I was able to quickly adapt and optimize where needed.

RESULTS - IMPACT - REFLECTION

The end result was a new homepage that perfectly captured the Mother’s Day theme. Both Hallmark and their customers responded very enthusiastically: the refreshed look was perceived as fresh, appealing, and fitting.

During this project, I learned how important it is not only to build pixel-perfectly but also to make them flexible for different screen sizes and user behaviors. Translating a design into an interactive product requires both technical precision and creative insight.

I look back on this project with pride. It was a great experience to work for a well known brand like Hallmark and to see how the combination of technology and design had a direct positive impact on the website visitors' experience.
