Flyer design

MW Slaapcoach

CLIENT - ASSIGNMENT - GOAL

For this project, I collaborated with MW Sleep Coach, a small business specializing in guiding healthy sleep routines of babies and young children. The client wanted to increase brand awareness and promote their services to parents of young children struggling with sleep issues.

The assignment was to design a flyer that could be physically distributed, for example, in waiting rooms at general practitioners’ offices or child health clinics. The goal was to clearly convey what MW Sleep Coach offers at a glance, while also evoking trust and a sense of recognition in the target audience.

The client wanted a flyer that conveyed calm, expertise, and a gentle appearance, in line with both the subject matter and the target audience of parents and children. MW Sleep Coach’s visual identity needed to be clearly present, but with enough room for creativity.

CHALLENGES - MY ROLE - PROCESS

The biggest challenge was the tight deadline. The flyer had to be completed in a very short timeframe so that distribution could begin quickly. This required fast turnaround between concept development, feedback, and execution.

In my role as graphic designer, I first immersed myself in MW Sleep Coach’s existing visual identity to ensure visual consistency. Then I conducted theme-based research, specifically focused on calming and child-friendly visual language.

I developed several concepts that aligned with the theme of sleep coaching in terms of color use, typography, and tone of voice. I presented these to the client, and together we quickly arrived at a final version that struck the right balance between being informative and visually appealing.

RESULTS - IMPACT - REFLECTION

The final result was a professional, soft, and easy-to-read flyer that perfectly matched the look and feel of MW Sleep Coach. The client was very pleased with the design and said it conveyed exactly what she had envisioned.

The flyer has since been distributed in various locations frequented by parents. While long-term results are still being measured, the client has already received positive feedback from both parents and healthcare professionals who found the design appealing.

What I personally appreciated about this project was getting to know an industry I hadn’t encountered before: coaching in baby and child sleep. I learned that there is a real need for this service, and I found it meaningful to contribute visually to a topic that can have such a big impact on families.
